This 200-page book I designed is a small part of a much larger multi-media campaign called RX for Survival – A Global Health Challenge.
The resource guide does not exactly parallel but extends beyond the topics and themes in the PBS television series. It’s intent was to provide an even broader scope of material, and inspire and excite journalists to cover and write about the subject of global health.
I brightly color coded each of the 5 parts as both an organizational feature, as well as, to break up the dense flow of serious subject material.
- Global Health at a Glance
- Preventable Diseases, Unnecessary Deaths
- Critical Themes in Global Health Today
- Health Equity is Possible
- Additional Resources
The refined use of color in the layouts make the pages more inviting and appealing to the reader. This restricted palette was freshly sorted out within each chapter to provide consistent styling among the typographic structure, as well as, within diagrams, charts and table data.
