The Melrose Symphony Orchestra is the oldest continuously performing volunteer orchestra in the United States. I was principal designer responsible for marketing communications from 2010–2017.
The general manager Jessi Eisdorfer describes the experience in these words: “Cathleen took on a complete overhaul of the Melrose Symphony’s marketing materials, including a strategic re-branding of the MSO logo, website, print and merchandise. She effectively communicates by asking questions about what we want to “say” about the Melrose Symphony through these materials. She is constantly mindful of differing opinions within our organization and provides thoughtful insight to help synthesize varying ideas and form a cohesive product.
Specific to the redesign and template for the MSO website, she presented various dynamic layout directions for our consideration. Produced in Dreamweaver, the final product is well thought-out and easy to maintain and update with new information…”

Program covers. As we approached the 100th anniversary the season number, 97, 98, 99 — was emphasized to remind our audience we were counting up to a special 100th/centennial season.

Website examples. Unfortunately I cannot share the live site as the symphony rebranded in 2017 when it launched it’s 100th anniversary season.
