Margaret Shepherd is an active, inspirational, world–renowned, artist, calligrapher, and author of 17 books (looking forward to 18 in 2019!). This website functions to promote her latest projects as well as serve as a gallery and archive of past work.
I create interfaces that are smart, logically-ordered and organized. When designing for another artist I want their work be noticed above all else. My goal is for the framework I develop to be complimentary yet inobtrusive, and as simply functioning around the content as possible.
Some of the basic UI/UX principles that give structure and clarity to my this design:
- Visual hierarchy, with the most important things big and bold
- Visual order with a grid system to allow for both placement consistency and flexibility
- Consistent color scheme and navigation across all screens
